The Nexus 7 tablet is first device to run the latest version of Android OS aka the Jelly Bean and guess what, the specs of the tablet is similar to the details leaked ahead of the announcement.
Specifications of Nexus 7 Tablet
The Asus-built Nexus 7 tablet features a 7-inch IPS screen display with 1280 x 800 resolution (216 ppi). It is powered by 1.3GHz quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3 with a 12-core graphics processor, 1GB of RAM and a 4325-mAh battery that gives you up to 8 hours of battery life. Other features include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC and Android Beam.
Nexus 7 weighs at 340g and has a thickness of 10.45 mm. The tablet doesn’t have a rear camera, instead has only a 1.2-megapixel front-facing camera for video calls. There’s no expandable storage on Nexus 7 tablet.
Pricing and Availability
Nexus 7 comes in two variants – the entry level with 8GB of internal storage is selling for $199, while the 16GB model is priced at $249.The Nexus 7 is already available for pre-order via Google Play website. Currently, the pre-order is limited to customers in the US, UK, Canada and Australia. Nexus 7 tablets will ship in mid-July.
