The 5.5″ Samsung Galaxy Note II which will be available here soon brings a host of new features on top of what’s being offered on the Galaxy S III. Among the new features include AirView, Smart Rotation and Multi-View. After the Multi-View feature was demonstrated, some are wondering if this is a Korean market specific feature as units sold in the UK didn’t come with it. Now Samsung has finally released an update which supposedly enables Multi-View for the rest of the world. Apparently Galaxy Note II units in France has already received an update as shown above. The Samsung Galaxy Note II will be in Malaysia very soon. After its teaser on Facebook, Samsung Malaysia has officially sent invites for its launch event happening on the 11th October. With the event happening next Thursday, we believe that the full availability will follow shortly after the media preview like the Galaxy S III. Malaysia is possibily one of the earliest countries to get the Galaxy Note II, which we could be earlier than the US that’s launching on 24th October. During the launch event, Samsung has invited Ernest Zacharevic, the artist that transformed the streets of Penang to do what he does best on the Galaxy Note II. Hopefully we get more details such as telco bundling and pricing from the event. With the Galaxy Note II and iPhone 5 expected to make an appearance soon, October will definitely be an exciting month.

Now word has it that Samsung is expected to introduce the Galaxy Note II which comes with a much bigger screen at 5.5″ which is also Super AMOLED at a massive resolution of 1680×1050. If the numbers are real, it will be the highest pixel density smart phone at 360ppi. In terms of hardware, it is said to feature a dual-core Exynos 5250 processor with 1.5GB of RAM. Over at the back, it still has a 8MP camera but with improved lens and sensor. Despite the current Galaxy Note’s massive 5.3″ size, that didn’t deter people from snapping up the Note off the shelves. To date, the Galaxy Note has sold over 7 million units worldwide, which is a testament that there is a market for Phone-tablet hybrid form factor. Samsung Galaxy Note Christmas tie up with Angry Birds Samsung together with Rovio has kicked off a Christmas themed Angry Birds Competition to promote its Samsung Galaxy Note. The challenge is to get the highest score on the Google Chrome based Angry Birds before 1st January 2012. Participants can stand a chance to win Samsung Galaxy Note and a bunch of Angry Birds merchandise. According to the T&C, the contest is open to all nationalities except for employees of Samsung, Rovio and supporting partners. So yes, looks like Malaysians can participate as well.
