Angry Birds “Surf `n Turf” Episode Comes with 15 New Pig-Themed Levels

Rovio Entertainment is rather busy this year with the release of new games (to date) including Angry Birds Space , Amazing Alex and Bad Piggies . The latest installment to the Angry Birds franchise – Angry Birds Star Wars is on its way to meet the public on November 8. However, Rovio never forget about the original Angry Birds – the first game title that kick started the hugely successful Angry Birds franchise, as today they have released a new levels to the game. Angry Birds now carries version 2.3.0. The Surf `n Turf episode contains 15 brand new pig-themed levels (Arghhh…. bad piggies!) and is now downloadable for iOS and Android. The Unofficial Angry Birds Star Wars Artworks and Game Screenshots

Tomorrow on October 8, Rovio in partnership with Lucas Film, will revealed a handful of merchandise at a special event at Toys ‘R’ Us in New York’s Times Square. The launch shall begin on 10 a.m. EST and you shall see a new lineup of Angry Birds Star Wars  toys and board games for sale. One of them is Angry Birds Star Wars Jenga board game. There is however no concrete word regarding the availability of the mobile version of Angry Birds Star Wars game. But, we are hopeful that the mobile game will be launched too, not just the toys. In other news, while surfing the internet today, we stumbled upon an interesting article that showcased the artworks of Star Wars-themed Angry Birds . The article was dated back in April, 2011. Angry Birds Seasons Piglantis Episode with Underwater Physics and 30 New Levels

Here’s another episode update to the Angry Birds Seasons game. This time, the people over Rovio Mobile take you (and the birds too) to the underwater world. Welcome to the Piglantis, guys! The new Piglantis episode introduces the new underwater physics alongside with 30 brand new levels. Yes, things are different from what you have played in the previous episodes thanks to the new underwater physics. You should try flinging the birds underwater and see what happens. Angry Birds Space now available for download

If you’ve been waiting for the next installment for Angry Birds, today they have officially released its Angry Birds Space. The game play is somehow different this time in space as it involves a different trajectory, orbits and gravity. For Galaxy Note users, they are offering exclusive Danger Zone updates with additional levels and a new Lazer bird. Angry Birds Gets 15 New Levels and All Levels Unlocked

Rovio Mobile has rolled out a new update to the original Angry Birds game (now carries version 2.o) to celebrate its 2nd birthday. Happy birthday, birds! The new update (currently available for iOS devices) contains 15 brand new birthday cake levels, special birthday achievements, cool new content in the pause menu and you gotta believe this – All episodes (300 of them) are now unlocked! On top of that, the Orange bird also make it’s first appearance in the original Angry Birds game. The bird first appeared in Angry Birds Seasons : Ham ‘O’ Ween update. P.S. : The special birthday update will comes to other platforms (Android, Blackberry etc) soon.

Angry Birds Seasons Gets Year of the Dragon Episode for CNY 2012

Chinese New Year 2012 of Dragon is just two days more. The people over Rovio Mobile come in time to join the CNY celebration too with a new and vibrant red Chinese New Year theme update for the Angry Birds Seasons game. Called the Year of the Dragon episode, the update contains 15 brand new festive levels, fills with fireworks and lanterns to set you into the CNY mood. In the update too, the Mighty Eagle is transformed into the fearsome Mighty Dragon. And guess what, the Mighty Dragon is available for free throughout this episode! Samsung Galaxy Note Christmas tie up with Angry Birds Samsung together with Rovio has kicked off a Christmas themed Angry Birds Competition to promote its Samsung Galaxy Note. The challenge is to get the highest score on the Google Chrome based Angry Birds before 1st January 2012. Participants can stand a chance to win Samsung Galaxy Note and a bunch of Angry Birds merchandise. According to the T&C, the contest is open to all nationalities except for employees of Samsung, Rovio and supporting partners. So yes, looks like Malaysians can participate as well. Winners will be announced before 14th January 2012.

Angry Birds Hits 1 Million Downloads Per Day

Peter Vesterbacka, the “Mighty Eagle” (read: CEO) of game developer Rovio has announced that the mobile sensation Angry Birds is now downloaded more than 1 million times a day. Vesterbacka spoke about the milestone at the Mobile 2.0 Europe openIDEAS conference. This is likely welcome news for potential investors as Rovio solidifies plans to go public on the heels of a huge round of funding to the tune of $42 million. The Angry Birds empire is also rapidly expanding beyond the mobile space, hitting web browsers, consoles, board games and toys.

Mine and Dine — New Angry Birds episode coming soon

Rovio just released a trailer for a new episode of Angry Birds called Mine and Dine. The new episode takes the unending war between birds and pigs underground with new obstacles and challenges. No launch date has been announced, the developers only said that it will be hitting app stores soon.

Web-Version Angry Birds Hits Google Chrome

We are still waiting for the release of Angry Birds on Facebook which is supposed to hit the most popular social networking site this month. But let’s put that aside first, because the CEO of Rovio Mobile, Peter Vesterbacka has revealed the web-version Angry Birds game , which is now  playable (for free!) on Google Chrome (not sure with other browsers though)! The announcement was made during the Google I/O event on Wednesday. The Angry Birds’s web client is built in WebGL (stands for Web-based Graphics Library) and can be run at 60 fps. For those who have never play Angry Birds before, here comes your chance to play the currently most popular mobile games on your browser! In the main interface, you can choose to play the game in SD or HD graphic quality (Depends on your computer’s performance). Plus, you should notice exclusive levels for Chrome . No point for playing all the same levels again as you have played them before on your smartphone, right? And I know all you want to play is the exclusive levels for Chrome. There are currently 7 levels under Chrome Dimension. Instead of starting over the Angry Birds game, you can apply a hack (courtesy of web developer, Wes Bos ), that gives you access to all the available levels in Chrome Angry Birds (including the exclusive Chrome levels ).
