2013 Ford Fiesta 1.5 Sport hatch and Titanium sedan officially launched in Malaysia – RM86,988 OTR

Both Fiesta bodystyles – which arrived in showrooms last weekend – are equipped with a 1.5 litre Duratec Ti-VCT four-cylinder engine, which has 112 PS at 6,300 rpm and 140 Nm at 4,400 rpm for output numbers (the outgoing 1.6 Ti-VCT unit offers 120 PS at 6,000 rpm and 152 Nm at 4,050 rpm, an eight PS and 12 Nm difference in output). The Sigma-family lump is paired with the familiar Getrag 6DCT250 dry dual-clutch six-speed PowerShift transmission, now with a gearshift-mounted SelectShift manual override. The ratios and final drive remain unchanged from previously. The facelift arrives with minor exterior revisions, the most noticeable change being with the front – fresh to the car is a large trapezoidal front grille, and the design of both bonnet and halogen CSR headlamps has also been revised, as has that of the rear lamps. A revelation in the ute world, the Ranger is almost certain to give Ford its long-awaited lift out of the doldrums. The Ranger, destined for more than 180 countries on five continents, will come in three cab styles: double, super and single and in cab chassis and pickup bodies. Then there are 4x2 and 4x4 drivetrains, two ride heights, two transmissions and three engine choices: a new 110kW/375Nm 2.2-litre Duratorq turbodiesel four, a 3.2-litre Duratorq turbodiesel five cylinder with 147kW and 470Nm and a 2.5-litre Duratec petrol four with 122kW and 225Nm. Ford EcoSport SUV

Ford has revealed a Fiesta-based small SUV, called the EcoSport. The new model will make its debut in India at the Delhi Auto Expo tomorrow, although a special launch event will also be held in Brasilia, Brazil - emphasising that this is a model aimed primarily at emerging markets. It will be sold in the UK too, and in over 100 countries worldwide, making this the latest addition to the One Ford global car line-up, which already includes the new Focus, Fiesta and Kuga. The EcoSport marks a milestone for Ford, as the first global model to be designed and developed entirely by its South American team. The first-generation Ford EcoSport, based on the Ford Fusion and developed by Ford South America in 2003, went on to sell more than 700,000 units as a regional product - hence why Ford has such high-hopes for this new model. The new 2012 Ford Focus ST is the latest design for the Focus ST line with more improvement compare to the old model. Ford has been producing some awesome looking cars when they start to introduce its kinetic design language into them. For instance, Ford Mondeo, S-Max, Fiesta, to name a few. Now, Ford has evolved its kinetic design language, make improvement to the already attractive design, and the result is the above - Ford Escape. The new design language first appeared in Ford Evos Concept, a 2-door concept car with a brand new 'face of Ford' which is similar to the one found on the latest generation of Ford Focus. The overall design resemblance of the Ford Kuga, and coincidently Ford Espace will wear the 'Kuga' badge when it is sold in some countries. There will be 3 engines available for the all-new Escape. A 1.6 EcoBoost with 173bhp and 240Nm, a 2.0 EcoBoost that offers 237bhp and 338Nm and a 2.5litre engine with 168bhp and 226 Nm of torque.

Ford for Mad Max

Mad Max is back! Build up to modern sequel of the classic Australian action movie is underway, and to celebrate Ford has designed two modern versions of the 1973 Ford XB Falcon and displayed them at the Australian International Motorshow in Melbourne. The project is in partnership with TopGear Australia, and the magazine is in the process of collecting public opinion and votes on which of the two 40 per cent size clay models should make it to final, full model stage - although the car won't be used in the film. Ford Asia, Pacific and Australia Design Director, Chris Svensson, was in charge of the project and jumped at the chance. He was reported to say: "Our entire team was very excited to be involved in this after-hours project and they approached it with a great deal of enthusiasm - even those that were too young to remember the first Mad Max movie," he said.
