DiGi has added more plan and contract tenure choices for its Samsung Galaxy S III buddle. The operator is now offering the Galaxy S III with its DG Smart Plan 48 and DG Smart Family packages. In addition, DiGi has also added 12 months contract option for all its Samsung Galaxy S III plans where previously only a 24 months contract tenure was available. This gives more flexibility especially those that don’t want to be tied too long on contract. DiGi has started taking pre-orders for the Samsung Galaxy S III. The operator puts the recommended retail price of the device at RM2,199, slightly above our RM2,100 price prediction. The Galaxy S III is available from DiGi for as low as RM999 — as the earlier clues suggest — with a 24-months contract. This time around they are only offering DiGi Smart Plan 68 and 88 with only 24 months contract duration. Bundled pricing as follows: DG Smart Plan 68 (24 months) – RM1,149 DG Smart Plan 88 (24 months) – RM999 In addition to the pre-order, DiGi has also confirmed its roadshow locations to promote the market launch of the latest and greatest smartphone from Samsung and it looks like gadget fans in Johor Bahru and Penang will be able to get in on the action as well.

With the full availability of Samsung Galaxy S III drawing near, Celcom has finally revealed its bundled pricing for Samsung’s flagship smart phone. The Galaxy S III can be yours this Thursday from RM1,398. The outright price is RM2,199 for the 16GB version. On Celcom, it is offered with a shorter choice of 12 months and 18 months contract with Celcom Exec 50 with 1GB data, 3GB data and Celcom Exec 250 which comes with 5GB of data. The 8MP Camera on the Galaxy S III comes with several notable features such as Zero Shutter Lag, Best Shot and a burst mode of 3.3FPS up to 20 shots. With the Samsung Galaxy S III finally revealed, the next question will be its availability for Malaysia. The previous Galaxy S II it took nearly 6 months to launch in Malaysia. This time Samsung will be extra quick in rolling out. Mr. Lee Jui Siang, the Director of Regional Mobile Business unit for this region has said with great confidence that the Samsung Galaxy S III will debut in Malaysia in early June. This is a breakthrough for Samsung that marks probably its fastest mobile product roll out ever. European markets will be getting it as early as 29 May with other countries getting it shortly after. As comparison, Sony launched the Xperia S in Malaysia within 2 months while HTC took about 1 month to launch the One X with all 4 telcos simultaneously. Being a flagship device for Samsung this year, we are expecting something better if not similar to HTC in terms of Malaysian launch.

When more and more leaks and rumours start to come out of the woodwork it’s an almost sure sure sign that a launch, or at the very least an announcement, is eminent. This is the latest unverified leak of the Samsung Galaxy S III. The source claims that it is the first official picture of Sammy’s latest flagship Android. The source also has some details about the device, again, all of which are still very much unconfirmed. The Galaxy S III is said to feature a 12 megapixel camera with 1080p video and built-in software with special effects like slow-mo and time-lapse mode. In addition, the camera is said to be capable of shooting videos at 60fps (standard is 30fps). There’s also a 4.8-inch 720p Super Amoled HD display with a 1280×720 pixel resolution and a 305ppi pixel density promising a razor sharp viewing experience. Samsung’s 1.5Ghz quad-core Exynos processor is also expected to make its debut in the Galaxy S III. The processor is rumoured to be paired with 1GB of RAM. ...

A couple of days back, rumours claim that Samsung is looking to delay the debut of the Galaxy S III. Many anticipated that Samsung’s new flagship smartphone will be unveiled at the Mobile World Congress this year just as the Galaxy S II made its debut at the 2011 MWC. Speculators speculate that the reason behind the delay is that Samsung didn’t want such a long lead time between the unveiling of the device and it’s slated US launch which is said to happen sometime in June.
