2013 All-New Suzuki Swift Finally Launched In Malaysia For RM78K

Image
Suzuki Malaysia Automobile has given Malaysians a wonderful surprise for 2013, launching the all-new Suzuki Swift , albeit almost two years after its global launch . The fully-imported Swift can now be yours for RM 77,888 (OTR with insurance) in the only form available here: the 1.4 GLX .  A cheaper, and hopefully not inferior, version is expected in a matter of months once the initial batch of 900 Thai-imported units runs out. Bigger and wider than before, the third-generation Suzuki Swift still however looks largely the same, with an overwhelmingly similar profile as the Swift it replaces. There are five colours to choose from, and forking out RM 5300 dresses up the Swift with a body kit comprising silver grille garnish, a black front bumper sticker, front and rear lower lips, side skirts, a rear spoiler, and door sill guards. The black-and-silver themed cabin looks dated at best, but Suzuki claims it is now roomie...

Suzuki Kizashi in Malaysia

Image
The Suzuki Kizashi, looking very much alike the Toyota Mark X from the rear has finally been launched in Malaysia! Competing against the VW Passat, Peugeot 508, Kia K5 and Ford Mondeo, this car has a tough competition ahead. Despite being smaller than its competitors, the Suzuki Kizashi offers a very proportionate body; the front fender and tyre distance reminds me of an european car like BMW. This pose is quite sporty.  Priced at RM147,888 for the SDLX trim, it comes with 6 airbags, traction control, ESP, leather seats, 10 way electric memory seats, auto cruise, keyless entry and push start, ABS, EBD, BA and Hill Assist, auto folding side mirrors, auto leveling HID lights, auto dimming rear view mirror, and 17 inch alloy rims.Quite well featured don't you think?  The sport variant is priced at RM158,188 and comes with 18 inch rims, sport suspension, different front bumper, and chrome exterior trim. The interior is also complemen...

Suzuki Kizashi is finally here RM147,888

Suzuki Malaysia Automobile (SMA) has finally given the Suzuki Kizashi an official launch – the D-segment sedan was unveiled at the roof of Lot 10 this morning. Only one drivetrain is available here – a 2.4L four-cylinder engine with 176 hp (131 kW) and 230 Nm at 4,000 rpm. This J24B unit is paired to a CVT gearbox with six ratios, controlled by paddle shifters. 0-100 km/h is done in 8.8 seconds and top speed is 205 km/h. We’re pleasantly surprised to see performance figures on the brochure, something not very common these days. Fitting, since the Kizashi is positioned as a sports entrant, and looks the part. Fully imported from Japan, the Kizashi is new ground for Suzuki, both in price and type of car. Known as a small car expert , the Kizashi (translates roughly to “something great is coming” in Japanese) sees Suzuki trying its luck in a segment dominated by Japanese heavyweights and a new breed of Euro sedans coming in from VW , Peugeot and Ford . Let’s not forget that the Korean...

Suzuki Kizashi

Image
Suzuki Kizashi   It is said to be a D-segment sedan (Toyota Camry), but size wise it's in the middle of a C-segment sedan (Toyota Altis) and a D-segment sedan. With a length of 4650mm, width of 1820mm and a wheelbase of 2700mm, the Kizashi tucked itself between an Altis and a Camry in terms of size. I never understand why Suzuki want to build a car oddly sized. Although the CBU Kizashi comes with two trim levels, SDLX and Sport, both trims get the same powerplant. A 2.4litre, four-cylinder engine with 176bhp and 230Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm, mated to a 6-speed CVT. 0-100km/h in 8.8seconds! Both trims receive generous amount of kits such as ESP, 6 airbags, hill start assist, auto dimming rear view mirror, auto cruise control, leather seats, push-start button with keyless entry, headlamps washer, auto levelling HID etc. The weird bump of the bootlid doesn't stop the Kizashi from looking butt-tiful... While the SDLX wears 17-inch alloys, the Sport wears 18...

Malaysian are living harder today under the pressure of inflation, with most houses selling above RM300k,and yet salary remain stagnant for the pass 10 years since 1997 economic crisis, we need to look for other ways to live. Today, I'll show you some of the cars for budget tight buyers, which is below RM50,000, besides our local proton and perodua. You can now consider these overseas cars also for your pleasure and not pressure. Suzuki Alto   Suzuki  Alto, which is an A-segment rival to the Perodua Viva and Hyundai i10. This subcompact is imported CBU from Maruti Suzuki in India, which is the global production hub for this model. Powered by a 996cc three-cylinder engine, the lightweight Alto (880 kg for the manual, 915 kg for the auto) is pushed on by 67 bhp and 90 Nm of torque. For comparison, the Viva EZi weighs 810 kg and has 60 bhp/90 Nm from its 989cc triple. The Alto’s K10B engine is paired to either a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic gearbox. The latter fe...
