Huawei P20, P20 pro gets cheaper!

In conjunction with this year’s national day,  Huawei  has announced a reduction of price on their flagship P-series. You can now get your hands on the sleek Huawei  P20  and  P20 Pro  at a more affordable price. Starting today, you can now enjoy a RM400 price reduction on P20 Pro and RM300 off the P20. In other words, you can  purchase a brand new P20 Pro at the price of RM2,899 (originally priced at RM3,299) and a brand new P20 at RM2,299 (originally priced at RM2,599). To recap, the Huawei P20 Pro  features a LEICA Triple-Camera setup with a 40MP /f1.8 main shooter, a 20MP f/1.6 monochrome camera and a 8MP f/2.4 telephoto camera with 3X optical zoom and OIS. Huawei to announce Ascend Mate 7 with Fingerprint scanner at IFA 2014

Huawei will be making an announcement at the upcoming IFA 2014 in Berlin. From its official invite , it will be the Ascend Mate 7 which will be unveiled on 4th September. The new Mate 7 is expected to feature a fingerprint scanner, which Huawei claims to be different from the rest. Early speculation suggests that the Ascend Mate 7 would come in 2 versions. The high-end model is expected to come with a 6″ QHD display that does 2560×1440 while the lower-spec version settles for a 6″ screen with Full HD (1920×1080) resolution. Both are expected to run on their very own Octa-Core Kirin 920 processor with 3GB of RAM (2GB for lower-spec), 13MP main camera and a front facing 5MP shooter. U Mobile starts pre-booking for Huawei Ascend P7. Extra freebies for early bird orders

The ultra-slim 6.5mm Huawei Ascend P7 is now available for pre-booking on U Mobile. For the first 100 users that pre-book for U Mobile plan bundling, they are giving the first 100 orders a free Huawei Power Bank and a free Huawei Wireless modem that are worth RM199 each. While the official bundled pricing and plan offer isn’t revealed yet, you can place your pre-booking (strangely is mentioned as pre-order) on VMall.my. Outright, the Huawei Ascend P7 is priced at RM1,499. The offer is valid to those who subscribe to U Mobile on credit card and is applicable at selected U Stores. Huawei MediaPad M1 – 8″ Tablet with Front Stereo Speakers

Huawei MediaPad M1 Hands-on Photos It was officially announced during Mobile World Congress where we have managed to get our hands on one. In the hands, it is about the same size as an iPad mini with a 8″ IPS display that’s rather decent with a 1280×800 pixels resolution. On-board it runs on Huawei’s sister company Hi-Silicon Quad-Core processor that’s clocked at 1.6GHz. There’s also 1GB of RAM and 8GB of on-board storage that can be expanded using microSD card. You’ll also get a 5MP camera at the back without any assisted flash and over at the front, there’s a 1MP Camera. The battery has a rather generous 4,800mAh capacity which can be reversed charge like a battery pack to charge your smart phone. That’s not all, there’s 4G LTE and it even lets you make phone calls as well. In the hands, the device is decently built with an aluminium frame but it isn’t as refined when compared to an iPad mini. Huawei MediaPad X1. High-end 7″ tablet to take on the Nexus 7

  Huawei has also announced the high-end MediaPad X1 tablet. Seen as a direct competitor to the Nexus 7 (2013), the MediaPad X1 comes with a high-resolution Full HD 7″ display that does 1920×1200 resolution and runs on a Quad-Core 1.6GHz processor which is the same as the MediaPad M1. In the hands, the build quality is really impressive with a premium aluminium body that’s incredibly thin and light. It feels very compact for a 7 incher thanks to its thin bezel design. Overall it is just 7.2mm thick and weighs just 239 grams. As comparison the iPad mini (with Retina Display) is thicker at 7.5mm while the Nexus 7 is still heavier at 290 grams. It also comes with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage that also can be expanded with microSD. There’s also 4G LTE support and you can actually use this as a phone as it comes with a earpiece speaker at the top. Huawei takes RM300 off the Ascend P1. Introductory Price RM999

In conjunction with the official launch of the Ascend P1, Huawei Device Malaysia will be offering its flagship dual-core smartphone at a special introductory price of RM999, some RM300 off the recommended retail price of RM1299, as a special introductory offer. The Ascend P1 will go on sale starting September 6 and you can get the specially-priced units on the day itself at Level 6, Sentral Ballroom A, KL Hilton from 10.00am to 12.00pm. In addition, five lucky purchasers of the Ascend P1 stand the chance to buy a second unit for just RM99 or the Huawei E560 Mobile WiFi at only RM9.90. The Huawei Ascend P1 features a 4.3-inch qHD Super AMOLED 960×540 resolution (256ppi) display with Gorilla Glass. The Huawei Ascend P1 is Coming to Malaysia

The Huawei Ascend P1 is priced at RM1,299 with pre-orders starting at RM1,199 online. Huawei has confirmed that the Ascend P1 is coming to Malaysia and has set September 6 to launch the device here. The Ascend P1, comes with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED qHD Gorilla Glass display (960×540 resolution, 256ppi), a 1.5GHz dual-core TI OMAP 4460 processor with 1GB of RAM and micro SD support. In the imaging department, you get a back-lit 8MP rear camera with 1080p video and a front facing 1.3MP unit. Interestingly Huawei also makes the Ascend P1 S which has roughly the same specifications as the Ascend P1 but is only 6.68mm thick. The Ascend P1 S is Huawei’s thinnest Android smartphone but by the looks of things that version will miss the boat to Malaysia.
