There are a few benefits of disable multitasking feature:
- Reduce the battery life usage.
- No more worry of closing every running apps in the background.
- Look more cool and unique than other people.
- Still able to use other iOS 4.0 features even after multitasking is disable.
- No more shortcut to play music using iPod app on the multitasking bar.
- Lock Orientation Mode is not showing on the multitasking bar. It means unable to prevent iPhone screen from auto-rotate.
- Unable to use multitasking feature for apps that running in the background process like Alarm Clock, To-do list, and reminder.

- Cydia app is install and running on your device.
- WinterBoard app installed.
Download “Disable Multitasking” package on Cydia
Step 1: Open Cydia app.Step 2: Tap on search tab bar at the bottom. Type and search for keyword “Disable Multitasking”. An exact result will be shown. Tap on it.
Step 3: A detail package installation screen is shown. Tap Install button to start installing the package.
Step 4: A confirmation screen is showing now. Tap Confirm button to proceed.
Step 5: The screen shows the installation progress. Once installation is completed, tap Return to Cydia.
Step 6: The package is install successfully.
Disable Multitasking on iPhone, iPod, and iPad Using WinterBoard app
Step 1: After the above steps completed, you can proceed with these steps. Make sure you have download WinterBoard app from Cydia.Step 2: Open WinterBoard app.
Step 3: Tap on Select Themes.
Step 4: You will see a lot of items on the list. Select Disable Multitasking. After that, return to WinterBoard screen.
Step 5: Tap on Respring button on the top left.
Step 6: Do not shut down or restart your iPhone, iPod or iPad at this moment. Wait until the installation is completed.
Step 7: Unlock your screen if you have set lock screen. Then, double tap on the home button twice. The multitasking bar is not showing anymore.
Step 8: Multitasking is disable successfully.
