After the debut of Kia Ray's gasoline version, Kia produced the Ray EV, which is a zero emission vehicle with a range up to 139km on a single charge. Although the Ray EV weighs 187kg more than its gasoline counterpart, it still able to produce adequate performance with a strong electric motor. 50kW and 167Nm of torque is available this time, about 77% increase in torque compared to gasoline version. This will ensure a strong takeoff from idle. Recharging time for the Ray EV is six hours if a 220V household supply is used. However, it only need 25 minutes in fast-charge mode for the 16.4 kWh lithium ion polymer battery pack. Like the Mitsubishi MiEV, Ray EV also comes with options while driving in 'D' (Drive) mode. The amazing machine is officially described as "a design exercise to explore the future of Lexus design" but it could preview an upcoming large coupe to take on the Mercedes SL and BMW 6 Series.  Produced by Lexus' design studio Calty, which is based in Newport Beach, California, the 2+2 LF-LC features a dramatic long bonnet with cues from the LF-A supercar mixed with an even more aggressive front end from the LF-Gh concept, which previewed the new GS.  Lexus does have a gap in its model line-up for a sports coupe. The last time the luxury brand offered an upmarket coupe to rival the Mercedes SL was the SC430, which featured a folding metal roof and left the line-up back in 2008. Lenovo today announced a new addition to its family of tablets – the IdeaPad Tablet A1. The 7-inch (LED with 1024×600 pixel resolution) IdeaPad A1 runs Android 2.3 and features a magnesium alloy “roll-cage” that is designed to protect critical internal components. Other vital specs include a single-core 1Ghz Nvidia Tegra Cortex A8 processor with 512MB RAM and 16GB of on board storage. You also get a 3MP rear camera (VGA front), a micro SD card reader and Mini USB connector The A1 also features a “unique offline GPS navigation technology that allows direct satellite connection regardless of internet access”. We’re not sure how this is unique because virtually all devices can access GPS without the need for internet connectivity. Astro has launched Malaysia's first free satellite television, NJOI, as part of its aspiration to make lifelong learning, information, entertainment, including sports, available to Malaysians for free. Its chief executive officer, Datuk Rohana Rozhan, said Astro would introduce NJOI in three phases. She said in the first phase, Astro would distribute 50,000 NJOI decoders and satellite dishes to recipients under the eKasih programme. "The second phase involves making the NJOI service available to all by the first quarter of 2012, where a customer can purchase the decoder and dish, install them and start to enjoy the services. "In the third phase, NJOI customers can choose to buy additional content at their own discretion, from a menu of product and services through a prepaid mechanism, which will be available by the middle of 2012," she said at the launch of NJOI here today. Google employees get Galaxy Nexus as X'mas gift!! Google employees are being treated to an early Christmas this year with each getting the very desirable Galaxy Nexus as a yuletide treat. As if the Galaxy Nexus is not special enough, the ones that are being handed out to Google employees feature a special back plate design sporting a range of icons as used in the Android OS. Google offices in London and Zurich are already abuzz with employees standing in line to collect their special Christmas edition Galaxy Nexuses. There’s no official word from Google if this giveaway is for its employees worldwide but there’s no reason to think otherwise. In any case, we’re certainly green with envy. LG and Prada has officially announced their 3rd installment of the LG Prada. The new device looks pretty sleek and probably is one of the better looking LG smart phones to date. On the exterior the LG Prada went with a minimalist look with slender 8.5mm profile and rounded edges towards the sides which looks pretty familiar, if you know what we mean.

The video follows the same concept and treatment as a series of commercials that Samsung aired in the US that also poked fun at Apple fans standing in line for the iPhone 4S. The difference is where in the US commercial it is clear that Samsung was behind it with this one, the link is not as distinct. There’s no Samsung or Google branding except for the Galaxy Nexus being mentioned a number of times and the obvious attack on Apple with the mocking of the iPhone 4S and Siri. What’s interesting about this video is that it was shot at the same location where people actually stood in line to purchase the iPhone 4S. The location became infamous because the people standing in line created such a ruckus that the Hong Kong police had to come and disperse. After plenty of spyshots and leaked brochures, finally Exora Bold and Prime made their debut officially. The highly anticipated Campro Charged Fuel Efficiency (CFE) engine, which we all refer as the turbocharged engine from Proton made its way to Exora Bold Premium and Prime. This is a great move by Proton to solve the underpower condition of current Exora and the engine can also be used for future, bigger Proton models. Take a look at its exterior. The Exora Bold & Prime both spotted a new grille, blacked-out headlights and front bumper, but the differences between the two variants are the chrome ring around the fog lights, gold-finished alloys in the Prime. "S" stands for Super Smart and is at the top of the models, a letter only highest-end flagship phones will wear. Letter "R" is for Royal and phones named with this letter will be premium devices combining power, design and productivity. "W" as in Wonder" which will describe high-end phones. "M" as in Magical with mid-tier phones offering decent performance at affordable price. Young collection with letter "Y", with entry-level phones which have a huge advantage offered by their low price tags. Additionally, the Korean manufacturer will continue to use suffixes for its phones: "Plus" will stand for a refresh or upgrade of an existing mode while "Pro" will describe phones with a hardware QWERTY keyboard. The Honda CR-Z is selling well in Malaysia and Honda Malaysia decided to add 3 new exciting colours: Storm Silver Metallic, Milano Red and Crystal Pearl Black in addition to the original Premium White Pearl for CR-Z. The new colours for Honda CR-Z, which is the first 3-door and six speed manual transmission hybrid, will arrive in early 2012. Honda Malaysia's initial target was to sell 100 units by the end of the year, however the number of booking exceeded their target by 200 units in only a month from launch. The RM115,000 CR-Z comes with 5-year battery warranty or 140,000km warranty, whichever comes first. Unfortunately, test drive unit of CR-Z is hard to find in Malaysia. Hope more CR-Z will be available in Malaysia so that more test drive units will be available for the public.

Mercedes SL, the timeless model from the German marque is getting a replacement model for its sixth generation. Unfortunately (fortunate for us!) the 2012 Mercedes SL has leaked into the Internet from some Mercedes-Benz's brochures. Spotted a sharp looking front end but with roundish-trapezoidal headlights, resemblance Myvi's I would say. The effect is the headlights does not looks compatible with the overall front, but not offensive. The side, especially the side vent contributed a sporty look and created a front moving motion design. The rear has hint of Mercedes CLS, especially the taillights. It does look a bit retro, but dull. The retro styling continues to the cabin, where it has retro-styled air-conditioning outlet like the SLK. Not much details has been released, but from the picture above we can see that it comes with AirScaft which blows warm air around the neck of the occupants.
