U Mobile refreshes Postpaid Plan with unlimited mobile internet and free calls within U Mobile

U Mobile which recently introduced commercial 4G LTE services has just refreshed its postpaid line up for the new year. The new Unlimited Plan offers Unlimited Mobile Internet and Unlimited Calls to anyone on U Mobile in the form of Unlimited 50 & Unlimited 80. These 2 plans replaces the previous U58 & U88 postpaid plans while its lowest U28 plan still remains with 1GB of data and 300 SMS (100 within U Mobile & 200 to other networks). In terms of data quota, nothing much has changed with Unlimited 50 bundling 2GB of data and Unlimited 80 with 3GB at full 4G LTE speeds. Upon hitting your monthly limit, there’s no excess charge but speeds will be reduced. For phone calls, both plans come bundled with Unlimited calls within U Mobile and limited free calls to other networks. ASUS teases dual operating system hybrid device for CES 2014

Nobody does convergence devices like ASUS. From the original ASUS Transformer to PadFone, ASUS seems to be able to marry 2 different product categories in a single solution that works. Admittedly such products isn’t for everyone especially when its priced more premium than the typical tablet & smart phone. Now ASUS has released a new teaser which hints yet another hybrid device that’s launching in a few weeks time. This is seen to be the successor of the current ASUS Transformer Book Trio that offers both Android & Windows operating system in a hybrid tablet, laptop and desktop mode. The video teases Green or Blue, One or Two which likely to indicates Android & Windows in either tablet or laptop mode. All shall be revealed at CES 2014 in Las Vegas on the 6th of January 2014. Acer announces the Liquid Z5, an affordable 5″ smart phone for the masses

Acer is still active in the smart phone game and they have just announced the Liquid Z5, an entry level smart phone that comes with a 5″ display and dual-SIM support. Powering the device is a dual-core 1.3GHz MediaTek MT6572 processor, 512MB of RAM and 4GB of storage which can be expanded with microSD. Over at the front, the 5″ display pushes 854×480 pixels resolution which is about 195ppi. In terms of imaging, the Liquid Z5 comes with a 5MP main shooter and a front facing VGA camera. For better pictures, the main camera comes with 5-elements f/2.4 lens and a sensor with 1.4 micron pixel size. On-board the Liquid Z5 packs a rather generous 2,000mAh battery and overall it weighs 147 grams with a respectable thickness of 8.8mm. Out of the box, it runs on an older Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean.
