Within days after its regional launch in Singapore as well as its global debut last week, the new Microsoft Windows 8 operating system is now has officially landed in Malaysia. The new OS has recently received its official launch at Plaza Low Yat which also marked the start of its month-long nationwide tour.
Including this week’s stop at the famed IT mall, the tour will be heading to eight cities on both sides of the country. In addition to the road show, Microsoft Malaysia has also collaborated with Noh Salleh of the famed music group Hujan and his wife, Mizz Nina to come out with a project called Passion8. The 8-weeks show will go on air through 8TV very soon and will be focusing on how the couple use technology to engage with their fans as well as interests such as music and fashion.
Microsoft’s OEM partners such as Acer, Asus, Dell, Fujitsu, HP, Lenovo, Samsung, Sony and Toshiba were also on the ground to give their support at the launch with plenty of Windows 8 certified devices were made available for users to check out at the launch event. Expect many of these devices to be showcased at the Windows 8 road show stops across the country as well since OEM partners have started to launch those products in the market following the arrival of Windows 8 in Malaysia.
We will be focusing on these devices on a separate article very soon but for the meantime, hit on the Read More link below to check few more photos from the official Malaysian launch of Windows 8.
