Pagani760RSJX. One and only!

The latest Pagani Zonda of the 760-series has just been delivered to a Chinese supercar collector. It is officially dubbed the Pagani Zonda 760RSJX and is arguably the most eye-catching example of the 760-series to leave Pagani’s Italian factory so far.
The Pagani Zonda 760RSJX has arrived in Hong Kong thanks to Pagani China Automotive Limited (PCAL). PCAL helps connect Pagani buyers to the Italian supercar manufacturer and helps to reduce communication times between the customer and Pagani itself. Additionally, Pagani China Automotive Limited provides dynamic & interactive response on its customisation and special design options for customers ordering unique Pagani models. PCAL is the first to provide their current Huayra as Demo with test drivers to new customers for Pagani experience.
PCAL has played a pivotal role in the creation of the Zonda 760RSJX as well as its delivery. Additionally, PCAL has just opened a special service workshop for all Pagani Zonda and Huayra models across Asia in the heart of Hong Kong.
As for the Pagani Zonda 760RSJX, it was previously referred to as the 760X but only now has its official name been published. It features the same mechanicals as the other 760-series Zondas meaning its natural aspirated 7.3-litre V12 engine produces an impressive 760 hp. It follows on from the original 760RS, Lewis Hamilton’s 760LH, the 764 Passione, 760 Fantasma and the 760 LM.
The most eye-catching element of the Zonda 760RSJX is its paint job. It is finished in a similar shade of prestigious pastel green to the original Zonda Uno. It also features the same pastel green brake calipers and an Italian flag livery running down the centre of the car. The interior of the Zonda 760RSJX is just as bright with the same matched leather across the seats, floor, transmission tunnel, steering wheel, dashboard, A-pillars and roof.
It then features all the same aerodynamic additions as the other 760-series Zondas. That means a revised front end with carbon fibre canards, a large Le Mans inspired carbon fibre rear fin and a prominent spoiler sitting above the aggressive rear diffuser.

Honda HR-V compact SUV launched in Thailand – 1.8L CVT only, three trim levels, from RM90k

The Honda HR-V has been launched in Thailand. The B-segment SUV is positioned as a “premium sport crossover” in the Land of Smiles and is only available in 1.8 litre form, paired to a CVT automatic gearbox. In keeping with the premium positioning, there’s no 1.5L or manual version in Thailand.
The 1.8 litre engine is question makes 141 PS at 6,500 rpm and 172 Nm of torque at 4,300 rpm, similar to the one in the Civic 1.8. The SOHC i-VTEC unit is paired to Honda’s G Design Shift CVT automatic gearbox. The engine is E85 biofuel compatible for the Thai market.
The HR-V sits on the platform that underpins the B-segment City and Jazz duo, but its wheelbase is the longest in the family at 2,610 mm, 10 mm longer than the sedan and 80 mm longer than the hatch. Being an SUV, it’s the tallest too – all versions ride on 17-inch alloys with 215/55 tyres.

ASUS ZenFone 5 Lite is heading for Malaysia

141125-asus-zenfone-5-lite-malaysia
The ASUS ZenFone series have seen tremendous success. Just recently ASUS Malaysia has managed to propel itself to the #3 Smart Phone spot in the last quarter. As for the models, there are just so many variants of its mid-range ZenFone 5 that we are starting to lose count.
To add more choice, a newer ZenFone 5 Lite is expected to come to Malaysia and from the sounds of it, it will be an affordable variant of the ZenFone 5 that still maintains a 5″ display. It was recently spotted in our Malaysian SIRIM database with the model number A502CG.

The ZenFone 5 Lite was recently announced in the Philippines with the price tag of just 5,595 Pesos (or about RM417). This slots right between its current ZenFone 4 and ZenFone 5.
In terms of specs, the 5″ display pushes qHD resolution of 960×540 but thankfully it uses IPS panel that offers better viewing angles. Powering the device is a 1.2GHz Intel Atom Z2520 processor with 1GB of RAM, which is similar to the ZenFone 4.
The main camera remains unchanged with an 8MP camera with PixelMaster technology however the front settles for a basic VGA camera. Despite being an affordable device, the battery gets a bump up to 2,500mAh. As comparison, the current ZenFone 5 comes with a smaller 2,110mAh battery. It is also a dual-SIM device supporting 3G connectivity. There’s no mention of its storage yet but we reckon it could be 8GB like its peers but who knows ASUS Malaysia might be generous enough to offer 16GB storage instead.

Lenovo Vibe Z2 Pro is now officially available in Malaysia

141126-lenovo-vibe-z2-pro-malaysia
Lenovo Malaysia has finally brought in its Vibe Z2 Pro, its flagship phablet that could take on the likes of the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and Huawei Ascend Mate 7. The Vibe Z2 Pro is offered at RM2,299 and Lenovo is bundling a JBL E-40 Bluetooth headphone worth RM428. Earlier this month, the Vibe Z2 Pro was offered at RM2,199 for its grey import unit.
The Vibe Z2 Pro is quite a beast in both size and specs. The front gets a 6.0″ Quad HD display that pushes a highly dense 490ppi (pixels per inch) while underneath it is running on a 2.5GHz Quad-Core Snapdragon 801 (MSM8974AC) processor with 3GB of RAM and has 32GB of storage which is non-expandable. Considering Quad HD resolution could take a hit on battery life, the Vibe Z2 Pro packs a massive 4,000mAh capacity battery but it still manages to be slim at just 7.7mm thick. Overall, it weighs a little bit heavier at 179 grams

Airbag-related recalls in Malaysia: is your car affected?

By now, you would be familiar with the Takata airbag recall issue – the Japanese parts maker’s airbags have been the focus of a series of massive recalls since 2008, involving over 17 million vehicles worldwide, according to Reuters.
The recalls involve improperly-manufactured airbag inflators – in a crash, the inflator could rupture and cause, in extreme cases, metal shards from the airbag casing to be sprayed at the occupants, potentially maiming or killing them.
The flawed part has been linked to at least four deaths in the US and a considerable number of injuries. Initially, the component in question was the front passenger airbag inflator, but lately it has emerged that a Malaysian, travelling in a 2003 Honda City that contained a defective airbag, was killed in a collision in July, and it was the driver’s airbag inflator that ruptured, sending shrapnel flying inside the car.
The Malaysian incident is not only the first related death outside the US, but also the first to involve the driver’s airbag.
Reports suggest that the root cause of the problem is the airbag propellant, the substance that is ignited and burns extremely quickly to create a huge volume of gas to inflate the bag. Exposure to moisture – prevalent in humid climates like ours – can cause the propellants to become unstable, detonating with excessive force during a collision.
Reuters reports that Takata has changed the chemical composition of its airbag propellant, although ammonium nitrate – considered volatile – is still in the mix. Competitors Autoliv and TRW Automotive are reported to use less-volatile guanidine nitrate as the main ingredient.
While Toyota, Nissan, Honda, Mazda, Mitsubishi, Subaru, BMW, Chrysler and General Motors have all issued worldwide recalls relating to this, only Toyota, Honda and Nissan have so far officially called back vehicles for airbag issues in Malaysia.
If you own any of the cars in the list below, it is absolutely vital that you send them in to be checked as soon as possible.

The latest ASUS Memo Pad 7 has arrived in Malaysia

If you’re looking for an Android tablet that’s different from the usual boxy design, the new ASUS Memo Pad 7 (ME572CL) with 4G LTE is something worth checking out.
