ASUS Malaysia has announced via Facebook that the Eee Pad Slider is coming to Malaysia. This is the 2nd Eee Pad series of honeycomb tablets to enter the country after the ASUS Eee Pad Transformer. No launch dates and pricing have been revealed so far.
Based on earlier specs, the Eee Pad Slider is powered with a 1GHz Nvidia Tegra 2 processor, 1GB of RAM and choices of 16GB or 32GB storage options. Screenwise, it has an identical 10.1″ WSVGA (1280×800) IPS. In terms of connectivity, it has a mini USB port, 1x Audio Jack, micro SD card reader, a docking port and a mini HDMI out.
We wonder which version ASUS Malaysia decides to bring in and for how much? In the earlier announcement, it was said to be priced between US$499 – US$799.

Goodbye to SteveJobs, look at history he made to Apple and also our human being.

Goodbye to SteveJobs, look at history he made to Apple and also our human being.

With the resignation of Steve Jobs, Apple has lost both a product visionary and outspoken leader. This timeline is an ode to the ideas and words of perhaps the greatest technological revolutionary of the past century.

iPhone 5 Concept Video Brings Thin Design and Holographic U

Call this wishful thinking, but wouldn't it be cool if this concept video were true. Imagine an iPhone, or any smartphone for that matter, capable of brining a holographic UI. You'll use the phone's screen when on the road, and the holographic pico projector when static on a table.

The dream doesn't seem far off with Apple's recent patent for a pico projector on their mobile devices, but the question is if the technology is there yet. We have seen laser keyboards existing for a couple of years now, but sadly they were never a true solution for everyone due to their lack of precision.

Probably my biggest question would be if you'd really end up using it as much as we know people don't really care much about FaceTime. There are certain things that simply don't reach that much importance if not well executed. In the case of FaceTime, people don't really use it much because of how limited you are to Wi-Fi. The same case would happen here if the Pico Projector doesn't bring any significant improvement to the way you experience content on the phone.

Pocketnow iPhone5 concept Holographs

I've gotta hand it to these guys though. Even if this is a dream at the moment, I'm really impressed by the quality of this video and how they were able to pull this iPhone 5 concept off.

HTC Omega: Upcoming Windows Phone 7 Mango device from HTC

The device you see above is the upcoming HTC device that will be running Windows Phone 7 Mango. The device — codenamed Omega, official name possibly Radar when it hits store shelves — is expected to feature an aluminium unibody, a 3.8-inch Super LCD display (800×480 pixels) with a 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8255 processor that’s very likely to be a single-core unit. There’s 512MB of RAM and 16GB of on-board storage and a 8MP camera with 720p video recording as well. The HTC Omega is said to feature a front-facing camera that is very likely to be the result of an expected deep integration of Skype in Windows Phone devices.
Looks good. Something like a Flyer mini of sorts. Let’s hope the long awaited Mango update will deliver the goods for Windows Phone. HTC is expected to make an announcement with full details on the Omega (aka Radar) this September 1.

Volkswagen Polo GTI launches in Malaysia

Volkswagen Group Malaysia Sdn Bhd (VGM) believes that the newly-launched Volkswagen Polo GTI will not cannibalise the sales of another Polo variant, the Polo TSI.
VGM managing director Ricky Tay said with over 600,000 new vehicles registered a year in Malaysia, there is a different customer range for both variants.

"I dont think they will rob the sales from one or the other because there are various differences that the customers are looking at," he said at the launch of the new Polo GTI here yesterday.

Tay said VGM expects to sell a few hundred units of the Polo GTI by year-end.

"It will be difficult to set a clear target, but we expect a few hundred to be registered," he said, noting that there is a worldwide supply shortage of the Polo GTI.

VGM recorded its highest sales of 2,810 units last year since its started operations in 2007. This was attributed to the introduction of three new Volkswagen models, namely Polo 1.2, Golf 1.4 dan Scirocco 1.4.

The new Polo GTI comes in three-door and five-door versions priced at RM132,888 and RM135, 888 respectively.

Apple says Steve Jobs resigning as CEO

Steve Jobs, the mind behind the iPhone, iPad and other devices that turned Apple Inc. into one of the world's most powerful companies, resigned as the company's CEO on Wednesday, saying he can no longer handle the job.
The move appears to be the result of an unspecified medical condition for which he took an indefinite leave from his post in January. Apple's chief operating officer, Tim Cook, has been named CEO.
In a letter addressed to Apple's board and the "Apple community," Jobs said he "always said if there ever came a day when I could no longer meet my duties and expectations as Apple's CEO, I would be the first to let you know. Unfortunately, that day has come."
Jobs' health has long been a concern for Apple investors who see him as an industry oracle who seems to know what consumers want long before they do. After his announcement, Apple stock quickly fell 5.4 percent in after-hours trading.
The company said Jobs gave the board his resignation Wednesday and suggested Cook be named the company's new leader. Apple said Jobs was elected board chairman and Cook is becoming a member of its board.
Jobs' hits seemed to grow bigger as the years went on: After the colorful iMac computer and the now-ubiquitous iPod, the iPhone redefined the category of smart phones and the iPad all but created the market for tablet computers.
His own aura seemed part of the attraction. On stage at trade shows and company events in his uniform of jeans, sneakers and black mock-turtlenecks, he'd entrance audiences with new devices, new colors, new software features, building up to a gran finale he'd predictably preface by saying, "One more thing."
Jobs, 56, shepherded Apple from a two-man startup to Silicon Valley darling when the Apple II, the first computer for regular people to really catch on, sent IBM Corp. and others scrambling to get their own PCs to market.
After Apple suffered slump in the mid-1980s, he was forced out of the company. He was CEO at Next, another computer company, and Pixar, the computer-animation company that produced "Toy Story" on his watch, during the 10 years before he returned.
The January leave was Jobs' third medical leave over several years. He had previously survived pancreatic cancer and received a liver transplant.

Samsung Galaxy series

Along with the new naming convention, Samsung has announced four new Galaxy phones — one “W” (high-tier), one “M” (mid-tier) and two “Y” phones (entry-level) — that’s slated to make an appearance at next week’s IFA 2011 in Berlin.
First up, we have the Android 2.3 running Samsung Galaxy W packs a 1.4GHz processor and a 3.7-inch WVGA screen along with a 1500mAh battery. There’s also a 5MP camera in there somewhere.
Next, we have the Samsung Galaxy M Pro which also runs Android 2.3 and features a 1GHz processor with a 2.7-inch HVGA screen and a 5MP camera rear camera. There’s also a VGA front-facing VGA camera and a 1350mAh battery.
In the entry-level segment, we have the Samsung Galaxy Y and the Galaxy Y Pro. Both the Y and Y Pro are essentially the same device with Android, 2.3, a 800MHz processor and a 2MP main camera and a 1200mAh battery. The only difference is the Y Pro has a physical QWERTY keyboard and possibly a smaller screen than the 3-inch Galaxy Y.
And that’s about it but it’s by no means the end of it. Samsung has dropped hints that it will be introducing something big at this year’s IFA — the world’s largest trade show for consumer electronics and home appliances — happening in Berlin next week. It’s possible that Samsung will be launching a new flagship device but that’s not confirmed.

BlackBerry Playbook +U Mobile

U Mobile now offers the BlackBerry Playbook, a month after Maxis.

U Mobile only offers 2 versions – 16GB and 64GB. Outright, the Playbook is offered at RM1,599 (16GB) and RM2,199 (64GB) for existing customers. With a RM68/month U Mobile BIS subscription, it can be yours for RM1,199 (16GB) and RM1,699 (64GB). Surprisingly it is written as no contract which is very unlikely for a subsidised offering. We are inclined to believe that it is offered with 24 months contract and we will try to confirm the details.
To sweeten the offer, they are also throwing in RM350 worth of accessories while stocks last.
For more info, head to U Mobile’s BlackBerry Plans page.

DiGi offers DG Smart Plan 48 with monthly 1GB data

Digi has revised its DG Smart Plan offering which now consists of DG Smart Plan 48, 68 and 88. This replaces DG Smart Plan lite which offered a pathetic 300MB data at RM33/month. With the new DG Smart Plan 48, you’ll get a decent 1GB data at only RM48/month, which is whole lot more for just RM15 extra.
Some their devices are also offered on Smart Plan 48 which includes Samsung Galaxy S II that’s offered at RM1,699 for 12 months contract or RM1,549 for 24 months contract with Smart Plan 48. This is a good move to offer phones with lower commitment contracts, which Maxis has started recently with Maxis Value First bundling.
The ever popular Smart Plan 68 remains unchanged and finally the Smart Plan 88 has been revealed on their site which now offers additional 50 minutes of call and 50 SMS within DiGi network every month. Call rates are the same for all 3 plans at 15sen/min for calls and 10 sen/SMS to all network. If your month bills reach a certain amount, there’s tiered discounts on your monthly commitments too. BIS services are an extra option at RM10/month while BES is at RM20/month. As usual, there’s a RM5/month rebate if you opt for auto-billing.
All 3 DG Smart Plans offer unlimited internet access where you won’t get charged extra for exceeding your usage but your speeds will be throttled. Here’s the interesting part, while DG Smart Plan 68 and 88 are throttled to 128kbps after exceeding, the lowest DG Smart Plan 48 will be throttled to a pityful 5kbps!
No doubt the Smart Plan 48 is a much more reasonable plan for low usage users with a decent amount of data. However we are still unconvinced with DiGi’s issues with their mobile data coverage and performance. When DiGi launched their 3G service, they promised consistency which offered an average of 700kbps at all times. Today we can’t say the same anymore and they seriously need to buck up and fix their network.
For more information on DG Smart Plans, head to their page here.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1

Celcom has put out a countdown timer to the launch of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 and it is T-minus six days to launch day. Not counting today, that would mean the launch of the much awaited Honeycomb tablet will be on Monday, August 22 (if our calculation is correct) — just in time for the Raya celebrations. At launch Celcom will offer the 16GB 3G version of the Galaxy Tab 10.1. At the same time the device is also available for purchase sans contract at authorised Samsung stores.

Subaru XV

Subaru is preparing to unveil the all-new XV crossover during September’s Frankfurt Motor Show.

The model was previously shown in concept form at the Shanghai Auto Show earlier this year and Subaru’s designers claim to have stayed true to the look of that car. The teaser shot clearly shows the same blistered wheel arches, prominent grille and headlights as the concept.

When it goes on sale early next year, the XV will go head-to-head with Nissan’s Qashqai and looks set to replace the Subaru Forester in the line-up.  The firm also claims it will bring a new level of “engineering excellence” to the segment.

Unlike Nissan’s crossover the XV will be four-wheel drive only and it will come with a range of engines including an entry-level 1.6-litre petrol and a 2.0-litre diesel unit.

My online income July 2011

My online income July 2011 is as below:
Nuffnang: RM18.22

Google Adsense :USD23.30
Infolinks: USD0.21

If you all have notice, I have removed the YMads as my online income as it has been proven as scam.

Don't register it and advise all your friends not to join them.

My adsense income remain weaken after the events happen last year, one of my most visitors blog with 600 UV was shut down, then followed by this site where ads got no show.......my income severely hurt and hit. If not by now I would have successfully build my online adsense business into USD100/month by now. As the biggest blog gives me around USD30-40/month, and this blog normally gives me USD20-30/month.

This month I would continue to focus on building my new blog which I build recently. For this year, I think I will focus myself only to that blog. As so far the result given is encouraging even without much visitors. If I build it big enough to have huge UV, it will by no time brings me toward my goal of US100/month and cash out every month.

Another thing I am working on is to have a collaboration with one great blogger who is willing to teach me and help me achieve my goal. So far I have got the domain, yet not much action taken. Need to work on this for my future.

That's all I have to share this month. Good luck to all in making money online.

Bonus Kakitangan Awam Hari Raya Aidilfitri 2011 : Setengah Bulan Gaji @ Minimum RM 500

BREAKING NEWS

Kerajaan bersetuju membayar bonus kakitangan awam sempena Hari Raya Aidilfitri 2011 iaitu setengah bulan gaji @ minimum RM500.

New Mazda SUV

Mazda has taken the wraps off its Land Rover Freelander rival – which will sit below the full-size CX-7 SUV – and says it will be the first car to use its SKYACTIV eco technologies. This means low CO2 emissions of less than 120g/km.

The styling is inspired by the Minagi concept – which debuted at March’s Geneva Motor Show – with the design team doing a good job of retaining that car’s neat look.

The CX-5 showcases Mazda’s new KODO design language, which incorporates a fresh family face and more purposeful stance, which bosses claim it will be extended to the car’s cabin.

Under the bonnet is a choice of the new SKYACTIV-G 2.0-litre petrol engine and a SKYACTIV-D 2.2-litre diesel. The latter comes in two power outputs, with the lesser 173bhp option claiming the lowest CO2 figure – although this refers only to the front-wheel-drive version with a manual gearbox.

In comparison, the most efficient two-wheel-drive VW Tiguan provides 64bhp less power and still puts out 139g/km. Among the other SKYACTIV tweaks are new manual and automatic transmissions, while the body and chassis have been developed to be as light and rigid as possible.

"Kau ingat kau pandu kereta mewah, boleh letak sesuka hati? Kalau ini berlaku kat negara kitakan bagus!"

3/8/2011 VILNUS: Ini saat menakjubkan bagi seorang datuk bandar yang marah, apabila dia memandu sebuah kereta perisai untuk menggelek sebuah kereta Mercedes kelas S yang dipakir di laluan basikal.

Datuk bandar, Arturas Zuokas.

Video ketika beliau memandu kereta perisai sambil menggelek kereta.
