The new Proton Saga SV is powered by a 1.3-litre CamPro IAFM four-cylinder engine that delivers 94hp at 6000rpm and a torque figure of 120Nm at 4000rpm. The engine is mated with a five-speed manual gearbox that propels the new Saga SV from zero to 100km/h in 13.0 seconds, reaching a maximum speed of 160km/h.
The new Saga SV also offers a four-speed automatic CVT option that has a 0-100km/h time of 14.5 seconds. Though the CVT transmission pushes the Saga SV to a top speed of only 155km/h, it fuel-consumption figures are improved, returning 6.3l/100km.

One of the main highlights of the new Proton Saga SV is its safety. Receiving a three-star safety rating from the ASEAN NCAP recently, the new Saga SV is equipped with standard safety and security features that include dual airbags, a reinforced body structure, reverse sensors, an immobiliser and a NEW keyless entry system.
