While the whole Malaysia is talking about the newly launched Proton Inspira, Perodua had quietly launched its new edition of Viva - Viva Exclusive.
The Perodua Viva Elite Exclusive Edition has been launched in Malaysia for RM 42,000 (on-the-road including insurance). Positioned between the Viva Elite and Viva Elite EZi, the Viva Elite Exclusive Edition comes with new features and cosmetic updates as well as an exclusive Classy Purple metallic colour which is offered alongside the existing Midnight Blue metallic and Ivory White solid colours.
On the outside, the Viva Elite Exclusive Edition wears darker-coloured alloy wheels and an Exclusive Edition badge at the back. Inside, new items include a leather-wrapped steering wheel, leather seats with Exclusive Edition embroidery, a centre cluster with purple metallic finish, unique meter combination design, silver-painted gear shift bezel and door arm-rests.
The latest Viva Elite variant is expected to contribute 600 units in monthly sales. According to Perodua, Malaysians have bought 240,000 Viva units since the car’s launch in 2007. The Viva Elite, introduced later in mid-2009, has proved to be the most popular variant in the Viva range so far this year, averaging 2400 units per month.
