As anticipation keeps growing,
Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia (MMM) has decided to start making the new
Mitsubishi Attrage sedan available for viewing at all authorized
Mitsubishi Motors showrooms nationwide, ahead of the model’s official
launch in November. Members of the public can also test-drive the car
and place bookings with the first 1,000 customers getting a portable
Garmin GPS route navigation system as a reward for being ‘early birds’.
The Attrage, which is related to the Mirage, is available in three variants and estimated prices range from RM59,000 to RM75,000 (excluding insurance).
Its 1.2-litre 3-cylinder MIVEC engine, which produces 80 ps/106 Nm, can
be ordered with either an INVECS-III Continuously Variable Transmission
(CVT) or a 5-speed manual gearbox.
A key feature of the Attrage, besides
its compact size, is its light weight of 905 kgs. Together with an
aerodynamically-optimized shape, its fuel consumption is claimed to be
21 kms/litre – certainly a number which many motorists will appreciate
in these times of rising fuel prices.
